THAILAND, CHAINGMAI III

Here's to Day 3 at Chiang Mai.
Such a beautiful place. The white palace, the long neck tribe.
Such an eye opener for me and my family. :D
Especially for the long-neck tribe.
Even though we have seen them on TV, but you really have to see it live, to feel how heavy the metals are.
It is kind of sad that the little kids have to have the metal around them, but it is kind of their tradition, so I RESPECT them. :D

FYI: The metal around their necks are not rings that are stacked up, it is actually a long metal rod,
where they burn/heat up the metal to make it flexible, and then they coil/wrap around their neck.
Which means that if they have to change it/or add on, they have to heat it again, pull them away from the neck, and then they add on.
Some people think that, "If they remove the metal, will their necks break?!"
Actually, no! Their necks will not break when they remove the metal. (it's a misconception)
They are so lovely people, so friendly and smiley.
And I really look up to them and respect them. :)

There are so many things to see there.
Of course there is not much to shop about, but there are so much nature to see.
Even though it has been some time since I was there, but it still felt like yesterday.
I missed the place, the food, miss the nature there.
Hopefully, I can travel to more places, to take more photos and capture more moments! :)
